  • Realizó una estancia postdoctoral en el Instituto de Biotecnología de la UNAM en el laboratorio de los Drs. Fernando Valle y Francisco Bolívar (1994-1997). Trabajó como Investigadora Asociada del Dr. Agustín López-Munguía en el mismo Instituto de Biotecnología (1997-1999). De 1999 a 2005, fue Investigadora del Programa de Biotecnología del Instituto Mexicano del Petróleo. Desde 2005, es Profesora Investigadora Titular C del Departamento de Procesos y Tecnología de la UAM Cuajimalpa.
  • Obtuvo el Premio Carlos Casas Campillo 2004 por parte de la Sociedad Mexicana de Biotecnología y Bioingeniería otorgado a jóvenes profesionales de menos de 35 años por su contribución al desarrollo de la Biotecnología o de la Bioingeniería en México.
